Tanaina Child Development Center is committed to providing quality early childhood education through evidence-based curriculum in a supportive childcare setting. We partner with Alaska Regional Hospital to ensure access to reliable, safe, and nurturing childcare to our Anchorage families.

We are an established non-profit organization that values the pivotal role of early childhood educators and care providers. You are essential to our success. You will be granted an unparalleled level of responsibility, as your efforts will lay a foundation to the development of the children in our care. You will ensure a safe, healthy environment for children to explore and grow. You will partner with our families to support their precious children.

We prioritize low teacher to student ratios to allow our providers the time and space to focus on each child with intention. Our scheduling allows teachers time each day to access curriculum resources (Creative Curriculum, Developmentally Appropriate Practices, and the NAEYC guidelines) and plan for daily and weekly activities. Teachers use observation and documentation to assess children’s developmental progress and create an ongoing portfolio that follows each child through the program.
